Are you saved?
This is a very simple question to a
very serious question. It's not asking whether or not you go to church,
whether you're good or bad, or if you have been baptized. Plain and
simple it's asking do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if for
some reason your life were to end at this very moment, would you spend
eternity in Heaven or Hell? I hope you can answer this with a yes. If
not please continue to read on as we explain the importance.
Are you a sinner?
"For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
The word "all" in that verse refers to you as well as me and
every single person to ever live except Jesus. We are all sinners.
Why is being a sinner so bad?
“For the wages
[payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
"And as it is appointed unto
men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27)
This tells us that as a sinner we are
condemned to death and eternal separation from God to die in Hell
forever. This is why being a sinner is so bad. Hell is a lake of fire
that will contain the people that didn't accept Jesus as their Savior.
If this doesn't scare you it should.
Is there a way out?
Jesus said to
Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.” (John 3:7)
“For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).
"And they said, Believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts
16:31 )
"That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. " (Romans 10:9,10)
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that
hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto
you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of
God. "(I John 5:11-13)
How can I be born again?
First you must confess yourself a
sinner before God. Confess to God that you know that His son Jesus is
the true living and risen savior. Confess you know that He shed his
blood, died, was buried, and resurrected for your sins. Receive Jesus as
your Savior. Thank Him for the forgiveness of your sins, the gift of
salvation and everlasting life.
We would love to minister to you but
it doesn't require a preacher, deacon, or Sunday school teacher to be
saved. All it's takes is a willing sinner and the Holy Spirit to
surrender your life to God. If you need someone to talk with, we are
always ready to talk. Please contact us.
Proof God loves you!!!!!
"For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life."(John:3:16)
"For he hath made him to be
sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him. " (II Corinthians 5:21).
"But God commendeth his
love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
"(Romans 5:8)
Just take God at His word and claim
His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no
lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. You
may say this is too simple. This is God's plan and it's laid out in the
Bible as we have described above.
What's next?
“Be not thou
therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy
1:8) You should be baptized in obedience to
the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and then
unite with a Bible-believing church without delay.
There are three things you should
practice on a daily basis:
Read your Bible -- God talks to
you.
Witness -- you talk for God
